Pinalalakas din nito ang katawan sa taglay nitong mga sustansya at minerals. Kumpara sa A1 milk, ang A2 milk ay may tipo ng protina na tinatawag na A2 B-casein na hindi nagdudulot ng mga sintomas na gaya ng kabag, pagdudumi, at iba pa pagkatapos uminom nito. Pinalalakas din nito ang katawan sa taglay nitong mga sustansya at minerals. Ito ang dahilan kung kaya’t ang A2 milk ay masasabing masustansyang pagkain. Magandang malaman na ang kalabaw ay pinanggagalingan ng purong A2 milk. “Matagal ko nang alam na masustansya ang gatas ng kalabaw pero ngayon ko lang nalaman na lubhang maganda ang uri nito kumpara sa ibang gatas na mabibili rito sa Pilipinas,”pagbabahagi ni Roel Balucanag, isa sa mga customers sa Milka Krem kung saan ibinibenta ang gatas ng kalabaw at mga produkto mula rito. Sa pag-aaral na “Screening for Genetic Polymorphism of B-Casein Gene in Different Breeds of Buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) in the Philippines”nalaman na apat lang ang breed ng kalabaw na nagtataglay ng A2 alleles. Ito ay ang mga Bulgarian Murrah Buffalo, Brazilian Murrah Buffalo, Italian Murrah Buffalo, at Philippine Native Swamp. Dahil sa kawalan ng A1 allele sa mga kalabaw, ang produksyon ng A1 milk na may beta-casomorphine-7 (BCM-7) ay naiiwasan. Ang BCM-7 ay nakapagpapataas ng posibilidad sa pagkakaroon ng sakit na diabetes, neurological disorder at ischemic heart disease. Ang naturang pag-aaral ay isinagawa nina Paulene Pineda, Jonalyn Delos Santos at Dr. Ester Flores ng Department of Agriculture-Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) . Sa kabilang banda, ang A2 milk ay maaaring madetermina sa pamamagitan ng “A2 choice” na teknolohiya ng DA-PCC. Ito ay isang “genotyping test” para sa A1 at A2 beta casein variants sa bovine at bubaline species na nagdedetermina ng uri ng gatas mula sa baka at kalabaw sa pamamagitan ng “beta casein gene.” “Mahalaga ang pagtukoy ng A1 milk mula sa A2 milk dahil ang A2 milk ay makatutulong sa pagkakaroon ng dagdag kita na aabot sa 55%,” ani Pineda. Dagdag niya, ang test ay nagkakahalaga ng Php700 kada hayop at maaaring makuha ang resulta pagkaraan ng dalawa hanggang apat na linggo.
