Cecilia Irang DA-PCC NHQGP — Nakiisa ang DA-PCC sa pagdiriwang ng buwan ng kababaihan na may temang: “We Make Change Work for Women: Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!”. Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Kababaihan Sa ginanap na programa noong Marso 1, binigyang-diin nina Deputy Executive Director for Production and Research Dr. Claro Mingala at Research and Development Division Officer-In-Charge Dr. Eufrocina Atabay ang kahalagahan ng malawakang gampanin sa pamayanan ng mga kababaihan bilang “innovators” at “changemakers”. Nagbigay ng pangkalahatang ideya si Sonia Pol, focal person ng DA-PCC para sa gender and development (GAD), tungkol sa tema at kampanya ng selebrasyon. Aniya, ang lundo ng tema para sa taong ito ay ang pakikilahok ng mga kababaihan sa pagsugpo ng pandemya at ang pagtalakay sa mga isyung pangkasarian na pinalala ng COVID-19. Ibinahagi rin niya ang mga aktibidad ng ahensya na nakalinya para sa selebrasyon, na naglalayong ipaalam at isali ang mga kababaihan bilang stakeholders ng mga programa at serbisyo ng gobyerno; maglikha at mag-organisa ng mga plataporma para talakayin ang mga pinagbuting pamamaraan, mga isyu, mga hamon, at mga pagsisikap sa pagpapaigting ng GAD; at hikayatin at palakasin ang mga kababaihan na maging daan at instrumento ng pagbabago. Kaugnay ng pagdiriwang, magsasagawa ng mga aktibidad ang DA-PCC’s Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) kagaya ng Virtual Forum at Sharing of Experiences and Innovations ng #OneDArfulJuana at #OneDArfulJuan at mga webinars tungkol sa Gender Sensitivity Orientation, Gender Fair Communication and Language, at GAD legal mandates na lalahukan ng mga miyembro ng DA-PCC’s GFPS sa lahat ng tanggapan ng ahensya sa buong bansa at mga interesadong empleyado. Nakibahagi rin ang mga kawani ng DA-PCC sa #PurpleMondays sa pamamagitan ng pagsusuot ng mga damit o palamuti na kulay lila (purple) upang ipakita ang kanilang suporta sa pagsusulong ng gender equality at women’s empowerment (GEWE). Ang lila ay kilala bilang kulay ng kababaihan na sumisimbolo sa hustisya at dignidad.
