Ikalawang SOA-DBP inilunsad sa South Cotabato Nov 2019 CaraBalitaan SOA-DBP,South Cotabato,Ikalawang By Rodolfo Jr. Valdez Upang mas mapalawak ang pagbibigay kaalaman ukol sa Carabao Development Program (CDP), inilunsad ng Philippine Carabao Center sa University of Southern Mindanao (PCC@USM) at Agricultural Training Institute-Region 12 ang ikalawang School-on-the-Air on Dairy Buffalo Production (SOA-DBP). Notice: Undefined variable: imgDesc in C:\laragon\www\post.php on line 114 Layunin ng SOA-DBP na palawakin ang pagbibigay kaalaman at pagpapaunawa sa benepisyo ng pagkakalabaw sa pamamagitan ng mga serye ng talakayan tungkol sa wastong teknolohiyang may kinalaman sa pag-aalaga ng mga gatasang kalabaw. Mahigit 322 magsasaka ang lumahok sa programa mula sa mga bayan ng Norala, Surallah, Tantangan, Sto. Niño, Banga, Lake Sebu, Tupi, at T’boli sa Timog Cotabato. Sa unang serye ng programa, tinalakay ni PCC@USM Center Director Benjamin John Basilio ang pangkalahatang ideya ng SOA-DBP, ang rationale ng industriya ng kalabaw sa Pilipinas at ang mga paksang panteknolohiya na makatutulong sa mga tagapakinig na magsasakang-magkakalabaw. “Ang isang layunin natin sa PCC ay palaganapin ang impormasyon ukol sa mga benepisyong makukuha mula sa kalabaw. Dapat nating ipaunawa na hindi lamang ito pantrabaho sa bukid kundi maaari ring pagkunan ng masustansyang gatas,” paliwanag ni Dir. Basilio. Naging katuwang ng PCC@USM sa pagsasagawa ng SOA-DBP ang Agricultural Training Institute Region XII, Department of Trade and Industry Region XII, DA-Regional Field Office XII at South Cotabato Provincial Veterinary Office upang mapalaganap pa ang mga programa at serbisyo ng PCC sa higit na mas maraming magsasaka. Ilan sa mga paksang nakapaloob sa SOA-DBP ay ang Feeding Management, Feeding Production and Establishment; Forage and Feed Resources for Dairy Buffaloes; Health Management; Animal Management, Disease Prevention and Control; Breeding Management; Carabao Enterprise; at Technology Adaptation. Isa sa mga pamamaraan ng pagsukat ng pagkatuto ng mga kalahok na magsasaka ay ang pagbibigay ng mga pagsusulit bago at pagkatapos ng serye o talakayan. Sa tulong ng mga SOA municipal coordinators mula sa bawa’t kasakop na bayan, masusuri ang kaalaman ng mga magsasaka gamit ang pre at post-test evaluations. Samantala, ipinaliwanag naman ni Charlene Corpuz, training officer ng PCC Knowledge Management Division (KMD), na ang SOA-DBP ay isang uri ng pagsasanay na natukoy sa pag-aaral na pinamagatang “Strengthening Carabao Development Program (CDP) Communication for Development (ComDev) Campaign in Visayas and Mindanao” bilang tugon sa pangangailang pangkaalaman ukol sa pag-aalaga ng gatasang kalabaw ng mga magsasaka. Dagdag pa niya, bagama’t tradisyunal na pamamaraan ng pagsasanay ang SOA, lumalabas sa isinagawang pag-aaral na patuloy itong tinatangkilik ng mga magsasaka bilang daluyan ng kaalaman kung kaya’t ito ay isa pa ring mabisang paraan. “Sa pamamagitan ng pakikinig sa mga seryeng ito sa radyo, higit na maipapalaganap ang kamalayan sa mga magsasaka tungkol sa mga programa, serbisyo at teknolohiyang pangkalabaw ng PCC,” paliwanag niya. Samantala, binigyang-diin ni Hannadi Pompong, ATI-XII Media Production Specialist, na mapapakinggan ang programa ng SOA-DBP mula Oktubre 2019 hanggang Pebrero 2020 sa 98.1 MHz Radyo Bandera News FM Surallah tuwing Miyerkules (11:00 AM-11:45 AM), at sa 99.3 MHz Radyo Kahiusa Tupi tuwing Huwebes (4:00 PM-5:00 PM) para sa replay. Maaari rin itong mapanood ng live sa Facebook page ng Radyo Bandera Surallah. Ang naunang SOA-DBP ay inilunsad sa Iloilo ng PCC@WVSU noong Agosto 2018 sa pangunguna naman ni Director Arn Granada.
