Taunang AI assessment, planning-workshop isinagawa ng PCC@VSU Jan 2020 CaraBalitaan AI ,assessment,planning-workshop,PCC@VSU By Emy Goritte Gorra Mas matibay na ugnayan at mas mainam na pagpapatupad ng programa sa artificial insemination (AI) ang layunin ng PCC sa Visayas State University (PCC@VSU) sa pagsasagawa nito ng taunang assessment at planning-workshop. Taunang AI assessment, planning-workshop isinagawa ng PCC@VSU Ginanap ang nasabing gawain sa VSU, Baybay, Leyte noong nakaraang Enero 21-22. Ang AI ay isa sa mga serbisyo ng DA-PCC para sa mga magsasaka na nakatutulong sa pagpaparami at pagpapataas ng lahi ng mga kalabaw sa bansa. Ito ay isinasagawa ng mga PCC village-based artificial insemination technicians (VBAIT) at LGU AI technicians. “Sa pamamagitan ng assessment at workshop na tulad nito mapagaganda ang inisyatiba sa AI lalo’t matatalakay ang mga estratehiya pati na rin ang mga problema’t solusyon na kinakaharap ng PCC, LGUs, at Provincial Livestock Coordinators (PLS) sa AI,” ani Edgar Nuñez, PCC@VSU AI and bull entrustment coordinator. Ibinahagi ng mga PLS ang kanilang mga aktibidad, matatagumpay na gawaing salig sa AI nang taong 2019, at ang kanilang mga plano upang mapagtibay pa ang naturang serbisyo na laan sa mga magsasaka. Isa sa highlights ng assessment at workshop ang pagkilala sa mga PCC VBAITs at LGU AI technicians na nakapagkamit ng mataas na performance rate sa AI, pregnancy diagnosis, at calf drop efficiency. Ang mga VBAITs na pinarangalan ay sina Jesus Suson Jr., Rolando Zalameda, Andres Cortes, Heindrich Zalameda, Marvin Pasohil, at Nestor Carbon. Habang sa LGU AI technicians, kinilala sina Julito Ordiz, Nelson Barro, Rodrigo Gervacio, Grace Peruda, Godofredo Yare, Reynaldo Dianopra, Ranulfo Madis, at Arsenio Donadillo. Binigyang parangal din ang mga bagong technicians na nagsisipagsanay ng AI. Ayon kay Dr. Renato Distrajo, livestock program coordinator ng Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office, sa pamamagitan ng Unified National Artificial Insemination Program ay tiyak na magtatagumpay ang pagpapatupad ng programa sa AI sa Region VIII. Humigit 80 ang dumalo sa idinaos na mga aktibidad. Ang taunang assessment ng PCC sa VSU ay ginaganap tuwing unang buwan ng taon.
