Aktwal na pagsasanay sa pag-aalaga ng kalabaw isinagawa para sa mga mag-aaral ng FLS-DBP Jan 2020 CaraBalitaan FLS-DBP,pag-aalaga ng kalabaw,pagsasanay By Dorie Bastatas Animnapung mag-aaral ng Farmer Livestock School on Dairy Buffalo Production (FLS-DBP) ang sumailalim sa aktwal na pagsasanay sa pag-aalaga ng kalabaw noong Enero 16-17 bilang bahagi ng kanilang pagbisita sa PCC sa Mindanao Livestock Production Center (PCC@MLPC). Notice: Undefined variable: imgDesc in C:\laragon\www\post.php on line 114 Ang nasabing “field visitation” ay isang pinagsamang aktibidad ng PCC@MLPC, lokal na pamahalaan at Municipal Agriculture Offices ng Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur, at Dapitan City. Layunin ng FLS-DBP na mapabuti ang kalidad ng pag-aalaga ng kalabaw at mga kaugnay na gawain sa pamamagitan ng tamang kaalaman, impormasyon, at teknolohiya. Sa pamamagitan nito, mas magiging produktibo at mas tataas ang kita sa negosyong salig sa kalabaw. Ang mga kalahok ay mga benepisyaryo ng proyektong Accelerating Livelihood and Assets Buildup o Alab-Karbawan ng PCC@MLPC, na binubuo ng 32 magsasaka mula sa Antipolo, Dapitan City; 13 mula sa Baclay, Tukuran, Zamboanga de Sur; at 15 mula sa Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. Kabilang sa kanilang aktwal na pagsasanay ay ang paggawa ng burong damo (silage), wastong pamamahala sa mga hayop habang ginagatasan, pagsusuri sa katawan ng kalabaw kung angkop ito sa panganganak, paghahanda ng tamang tirahan para sa mga guya at matatandang kalabaw, pagpoproseso ng gatas at pagsusuri sa kalidad nito. Ang nasabing mga pagsasanay ay naisagawa sa tulong nina PCC@MLPC Center Director Cecelio Velez, FLS-DBP facilitators na sina Dorie Bastatas, Edmund Calvo, Genelyn Sularte, at Annie Rose Estañol, Project Aide Jayza Claire Tabiliran, at Community Development Officer Josephine Mendoza. Ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na pag-aaral ng mga kalahok sa FLS-DBP. Ang serye ng pag-aaral na ito ay magbibigay-daan sa kanila upang (1) madagdagan ang kanilang interes sa mga negosyong salig sa kalabaw at (2) maihanda sila sa mga kakailanganing hakbang at pagsusumikap sa mga tuntunin ng pagnenegosyo at pagpoproseso. Sa pagtatapos ng aktibidad, sinabi ni Ponciano Edaño Sr., municipal agriculturist ng Dumalinao, na kahit siya ay magreretiro, patuloy niyang susuportahan ang programa dahil ito ang alternatibong mapagkakakitaan ng mga magsasaka. Dagdag pa niya, pangarap din ng munisipyo na makagawa ng produkto mula sa gatas ng kalabaw. Bilang tugon, sinabi ni Direktor Velez na ito ay isa lamang sa maraming bahagi ng yugto sa pagsasagawa ng nasabing aktibidad. Sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga magsasaka, stakeholders, at partners sa industriya ay maayos na maipatutupad ang programa. Kabilang din sa dumalo sa aktibidad ay sina Cyril Patangan, municipal agriculturist ng Dapitan City; Dr. Cornelio Jumawan, city veterinarian ng Dapitan City; Hon. Macario Tutor, committee chair on agriculture; Hon. Victoria Pintac, committee chair on enterprise; Victor Galleposo, artificial insemination technician, at iba pang FLS-DBP facilitators na sina John Entrina, Richard Hidalgo, Cesar Acaylar at Walter Padaong.
