Dalawang kooperatiba sa Region IX, nakatanggap ng gatasang kalabaw Nov 2019 CaraBalitaan Region IX,kooperatiba ,PCC@MLPC,gatasang kalabaw By Dorie Bastatas Kabilang ang Baclay Multi-purpose Cooperative at Antipolo Primary Agricultural Multi-purpose Cooperative na saklaw ng Mindanao Livestock Complex (PCC@MLPC) sa mga piling kooperatibang ginawaran ng gatasang kalabaw ng Philippine Carabao Center sa Central Mindanao University Convention Center sa Maramag, Bukidnon noong Nobyembre 14-15, 2019. Dalawang kooperatiba sa Region IX, nakatanggap ng gatasang kalabaw Ang aktibidad ay bahagi ng selebrasyon ng 5th National Carabao Center (NCC) ngayong taon. Sa binagong programang “Paiwi” ng PCC o Dairy Buffalo Multiplier Farm (DBMF),ipinagkakatiwala ng PCC ang purong lahi ng gatasang kalabaw sa mga angkop na magsasaka, pamilya, kompanya, kooperatiba o mga enterpreneurs na may kakayahang magpatakbo ng negosyong sakahan. Inaasahang malaki ang maitutulong nito lalo’t nagsasagawa na ang PCC@MLPC ng mga inisyatiba upang matugunan ang pangangailangan sa gatas sa Milk Supplementation Program kaugnay ng Republic Act 11037. Ang RA 11037 o Masustansiyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act ay batas na layon na mapabuti ang kalusugan ng mga batang kulang sa nutrisyon na nasa edad 3-12 taong gulang at buhat sa mga pampublikong daycare centers at mababang paaralan. Aabot sa 27 kalahok mula sa iba’t ibang munisipalidad sa Rehiyon IX ang dumalo sa 5th NCC. Ito ay kinabibilangan ng Baclay Multi-Purpose, Baclay; Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur; Antipolo Primary Agricultural Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Antipolo; Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte; Siare Valley Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte; Sindangan Crossbred Buffalo Raisers, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte; Polanco Carabao Breeders and Raisers Association, Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte; at Ipil Carabao Farmers Association, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
