BLP Orientation Seminar, idinaos ng PCC MLPC Nov 2019 CaraBalitaan BLP ,Orientation ,Seminar,PCC MLPC By Dorie Bastatas Upang mas mapalawig pa ang inisyatiba sa pagpapalahi gamit ang tradisyunal na pamamaraan, nagsagawa ang Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) sa Mindanao Livestock Production Center ng “Bull Loan Program (BLP) Orientation Seminar” sa Kalawit, Zamboanga del Norte noong ika-5 ng Nobyembre 2019. Notice: Undefined variable: imgDesc in C:\laragon\www\post.php on line 114 Ipinaliwanag sa naturang seminar ang BLP, at ang mga magiging tungkulin at responsibilidad ng mga magsasaka na kabahagi nito. Tinalakay rin ang mga kasanayan sa pamamahala patungkol sa wastong pag-aalaga ng mga bulugan na salig sa kalusugan, pagpapalahi, pagpapakain at pag-iingat ng talaan. Ang BLP ay isang komplimentaryong serbisyo ng PCC na bahagi ng “Genetic Improvement Program” na naglalayon na mapabuti ang produktibo at kalidad ng gatas, karne, at lakas ng mga hayop. Layon ng naturang programa na mabigyang serbisyo ang mga (1) purebred dairy-type na mga kalabaw at crossbred sa ilalim ng mga kooperatiba, samahan, at dairy multiplier farm; at (2) katutubo o native na mga kalabaw na bahagi ng programang pagpapa-unlad sa kanayunan. Sa ilalim ng BLP, maililipat ang pagmamay-ari ng pinahiram na mga bulugan kung makapagpapalahi ang bawa’t bulugan ng 25 guya. Mula 1996 ay may 126 na bulugan na ang naipamahagi. Aabot naman sa 710 na bulo ang naipanganak buhat 2004 hanggang sa kasalukuyan. Bukod sa kaalaman, nagbigay din ang PCC sa MLPC ng training kit sa mga nagsidalong piling magsasaka. Ito ay naglalaman ng manwal para sa Wastong Pag-aalaga ng Bulugang Buffalo, talaan para sa serbisyong pag-aanak, pagsubaybay sa kalusugan, at kung ilang bulo ang naipanganak.
