Notice: Undefined variable: imgDesc in C:\laragon\www\post.php on line 114 Naipagkaloob ang mga ito sa isang turnover ceremony noong ika-28 ng Mayo sa DA-PCC sa WVSU. Ang naturang inisyatiba ay nakapaloob sa “Paiwi Program” ng DA-PCC. Isinusulong sa programa ang pagpapaunlad ng buhay ng mga magsasaka sa tulong ng kalabaw na maaaring mapagkunan ng gatas at karne. Binigyang-diin ni Atty. Hansel Didulo, DA Assistant Secretary for the Visayas, ang kabutihang dala ng programa sa mga benepisyaryong magsasaka, “Ang ining programa sang gobyerno ang may tinutuyo nga buligan ang mga mangunguma nga parehas sa inyo, nga maka angkon sang maayo nga pangabuhian. Ang ginapangabay lang namon, nga ining mga karabaw nga ginpagkatiwala sa inyo sang gobyerno, amligan niyo gid, sagudon niyo gid sang maayo, kay para man ini sa ika-asenso sang pangabuhian niyo.” (Ang programang ito ng gobyerno ay naglalayon na matulungan ang mga magsasakang katulad ninyo na magkaroon ng pagkakakitaan. Ang hinihingi lang namin ay alagaan at pakaingatan ninyo ang mga kalabaw na ipinagkaloob sa inyo, dahil para rin ito sa ikabubuti ng kabuhayan ninyo). Purebred Italian buffaloes ang ipinamahagi na inaalagaan sa pamamaraang confined feeding. Napag-alamang nakapagbibigay ng 9-10 litro ng gatas ang bawa’t isang kalabaw kada araw, mas mataas kumpara sa mga crossbred na kalabaw. Nakatanggap din ang bawa’t benepisyaryo ng mineral blocks o suplimentong pakain na nakapagbibigay ng karagdagang nutrisyon sa kalabaw. Ang nasabing aktibidad ay bahagi ng tatlong araw na selebrasyon sa linggo ng mga magsasaka at mangingisda. Kabilang sa mga idinaos ng DA-PCC sa WVSU ay Bread Making with Carabao’s Milk, kung saan ang mga kababaihang miyembro ng Calinog Farmers Agricultural Cooperative ay gumawa ng pandesal na may gatas ng kalabaw at namahagi ng 10 litrong sariwang gatas at 40 litrong flavored milk sa 12th Infantry Battalion, Brgy. Libot, Calinog, Iloilo para sa community feeding.
