Pagsasanay sa baking, pastry making May 2020 CaraBalitaan baking, pastry making,Pagsasanay ,DA-PCC sa CSU By AILEEN BULUSAN DA-PCC sa CSU — Dagdag na kaalamang pangkabuhayan ang hatid ng Department of Agriculture- Philippine Carabao Center sa Cagayan State University (DA-PCC sa CSU) sa 16 na kababaihan sa isang hands-on training sa baking at pastries making. Pagsasanay sa baking, pastry making Ito ay naganap noong Mayo 12 at dinaluhan ng mga miyembro ng mga piling kooperatibang inaasistehan ng DA-PCC sa CSU. Bahagi ito ng inisyatiba ng DA-PCC sa CSU sa National Women’s Month noong Marso na naipagpaliban dahil sa Enhanced Community Quarantine. Kombinasyon ng lecture at demonstration ng pagluluto ang ginawa sa pagsasanay. Ibinahagi ang recipe sa paggawa ng chocolate chips cookies, hot milk cake, milk cake, at vanilla sponge cake. Sa mga nabanggit, napili sa taste test ang hot milk cake bilang “Best Product of Choice”. Itinuro din ang kahalagahan ng bawa’t sangkap sa pagluluto gamit ang iba’t ibang kasangkapan, saktong pagsukat at paghahalo ng mga ito, at tamang oras sa pagluluto. Isinulong sa inisyatiba na hindi lamang mahihikayat ang mga kalahok na makibahagi sa economic activity ng lipunan kundi upang mahasa rin ang kanilang entrepreneurship ability na maaari nilang gamitin sa pagpapaunlad ng kanilang buhay. Pinangunahan nina DA-PCC sa CSU Center Director Frank Rellin at Senior Science Research Specialist II Edelina Rellin ang pagsasanay. Nauna nang ginanap ang Gender and Development Orientation (GAD) at pagsasanay sa pagpoproseso ng gatas at karne ng kalabaw noong Marso 20. Ang mga nagsidalo ay mula sa DA-PCC sa CSU, piling kooperatiba, at asosasyon ng mga magsasaka. Buhat nang sumailalim ang DA-PCC sa CSU sa isang GAD orientation at training-workshop noong 2018, taun-taon nang nagsasagawa ang center ng aktibidad na may kinalaman sa pagpapaunlad ng buhay ng mga kababaihan. Layunin nito na mapalakas pang lalo ang papel na ginagampanan ng babae para sa mga gawaing kapaki-pakinabang sa lipunan.
