Paghahanda sa mga benepisyaryo ng CCDP sa Zambo Sibugay Sep 2020 CaraBalitaan CCDP ,Zambo Sibugay ,DA-PCC sa MLPC By Dorie Bastatas DA-PCC sa MLPC —Sumailalim sa Social Preparation Training (SPT) ang 43 benepisyaryong magniniyog sa Makilas at Tomitom, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay noong Setyembre 29-30 bilang paghahanda sa Coconut-Carabao Development Project (CCDP). Ang nasabing pagsasanay, na isinagawa ng DA-Philippine Coconut Authority (DA-PCA) at DA-PCC sa Mindanao Livestock Production Complex (DA-PCC sa MLPC), ay naglalayong bigyan ng hustong preparasyon ang bawa’t potensyal na benepisyaryo ng carabao development program. Gayundin, pinahuhusay nito ang mga kakayahan ng mga kalahok sa pakikitungo sa kapwa magsasaka at upang lubos nilang maunawaan ang mga programa at layunin ng CCDP. Ang CCDP ay isang inisyatibong proyekto sa pamamagitan ng Senate Committee on Agriculture, Food and Agrarian Reform na ipinatutupad ng DA-PCA at DA-PCC sa adhikain nitong mabigyan ng karagdagang mapagkakakitaan ang mga magsasaka na pangunahing kabuhayan ang pagniniyugan. Ang mga benepisyaryo ay magiging miyembro ng Small Coconut Farmer Organizations (SCFOs). Kabilang sa mga paksang tinalakay sa pagsasanay ay ang mga benepisyong hatid ng kalabaw at mga kabuhayang nakasalig dito, mga kakayahan at katangian na kinakailangan ng bawa’t kabalikat sa proyekto ng DA-PCC at DA-PCA, apat na haligi para sa pagpapanatili ng matagumpay na proyekto, at mga pamantayan sa pagpapakatao para sa mas matatag na samahan. Nagsilbing mga tagapagsalita sina Regional Carabao-Based Enterprise Development (CBED) Coordinator Fe Emelda Academia at Center Director Dr. Cecelio Velez habang umaasiste naman sa talakayan sina Community Development Officer Josephine Mendoza at CBED Support Staff Fairy May Begota. “Sa pamamagitan ng SPT, inihahanda kayo bilang mga benepisyaryong magsasaka ng CCDP sa mga posibleng pagsubok at hamon ng nasabing proyekto. Bukod dito, hinihikayat din kayo na maging aktibo sa pakikilahok at pagsasakatuparan ng inyong mga magiging responsibilidad hindi lamang sa inyong pamilya kundi pati sa pamayanan at lipunan,” ani Academia.
