Sa unang limang araw ng pagsasanay ay tinalakay sa mga kalahok ang iba’t ibang paksa gaya ng mga sumusunod: Anatomy and Physiology of Female Reproductive Organ; Estrous Cycle and Estrous Detection; Hormonal Interplay in the Regulation of Estrous; Pregnancy Diagnosis in Large Ruminants; Artificial Insemination in Large Ruminants; at Proper Handling and Maintenance of Field Tanks. Ang bawa’t kalahok ay ginabayan ng kani-kanilang tagapagsanay upang aktwal na matutunan at maisagawa ang mga sumusunod: In-situ familiarization of the female reproductive organ and its structures; In-situ AI gun insertion; body scoring, semen thawing, loading; A.I. gun preparation and insemination; data recording and record keeping; at proper handling and maintenance of semen, field tank straw sheets, and thermo flask.
