DA-PCC holds pre-in house review

The DA-Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) through the Research and Development Division (RDD) conducted a three-day pre-in-house review at the national headquarters to review, analyze, and track the status and accomplishments of all Research and Development (R&D) studies in progress and make strategic recommendations for their development.

Said activity also served as a monitoring and evaluation tool that ensures alignment of R4D efforts with the R4D Agenda. It is a continuing activity that demonstrates and recognizes the DA-PCC's research initiatives.

“The pre-in house review is an event for spotting inventions, and technologies that have Intellectual property potentials. The innovations that will be derived from these studies can later on be commercialized for public and the industry,” Dr. Eufrocina Atabay, Scientist II added.

There were 40 R4D studies presented, 12 of which are completed and 28 are still in progress.

The papers were categorized into five thematic areas namely: animal breeding and genomics, reproductive biotechnology, animal health, institutional development, animal nutrition, product development and innovation, and socio-economics and policy research.

Select papers will be presented again during the R4D in-house review in the mid of July to early August this year.
