31 kalahok nakakumpleto ng kaunaunahang FLS-DBP Facilitators’ Learning Workshop sa Rehiyon 8 Jun 2022 CaraBalitaan Carabalitaan By Sunshine Sabidalas DA-PCC sa VSUNagsagawa ng Facilitators' Learning Workshop on Farmers Livestock School on Dairy Buffalo Production (FLS-DBP) ang DA-PCC sa Visayas State University (VSU) noong Abril 25 hanggang Mayo 6, 2022 sa VSU, Baybay City, Leyte bilang bahagi ng proyektong ALAB Karbawan. Ito ang unang pagkakataon na ang naturang aktibidad ay isinagawa sa labas ng DAPCC national headquarters. 31 kalahok nakakumpleto ng kaunaunahang FLS-DBP Facilitators’ Learning Workshop sa Rehiyon 8 Ang FLS-DBP ay isang makabagong diskarte na nakaangkla sa participatory at adult learning na mga pamamaraan at prinsipyo. Ang 15 araw na masinsinang aktibidad ay naglalayong bigyan ang mga kalahok ng mga kinakailangang kasanayan at kakayahan sa pagpapatupad ng FLSDBP sa kani-kanilang mga lokalidad. Layon nitong gawing epektibong facilitators ang mga kalahok upang maging tagapagsanay din ng iba pang mga magsasaka sa kanilang nasasakupan pagkatapos ng season-long learning experience. Ang nasabing aktibidad ay pinangasiwaan ng Knowledge Management Division (KMD) ng DA-PCC na pinamumunuan ni Dr. Eric Palacpac, kasama ang mga module developers mula sa national headquarters. Nakibahagi sa nasabing aktibidad ang tatlumpu't isang kalahok mula sa iba't ibang munisipalidad ng Eastern Visayas na kinabibilangan ng CoconutCarabao Development Project (CCDP) farmer beneficiaries, Local Government Unit (LGU) technician mula sa Northern Samar, Leyte, Samar, Southern Leyte, at Biliran, at ilang kawani ng DA-PCC. Bukod sa mga lecture sessions, kasama sa kursong pagsasanay ang mga laro, fieldworks, at case analysis. Ang mga kursong tinalakay sa buong pagsasanay ay nakatuon sa pagpapakilos ng mga komunidad para sa FLSDBP, pagpapalaki ng malusog at produktibong gatasang kalabaw, pagbuo ng mga negosyong salig sa kalabaw, participatory technology development, at participatory tool upang masukat ang epekto at kahalagahan ng FLS-DBP. Kabilang sa mga resource persons sina DA-PCC sa VSU Director Francisco G. Gabunada Jr. at mga module developers mula sa national headquarters (Dr. Palacpac, Ms. Rovelyn T. Jacang, Dr. Phoebe Lyndia Llantada, Dr. Cyril P. Baltazar, Dr. Ester B. Flores, Dr. Peregrino G. Duran, Dr. Renelyn M. Labindao, Ms. Mina P. Abella, Ms Patrizia Camille Saturno, Ms. Teresita Baltazar, dating DA-PCC R&D Division Chief Dr. Annabelle S. Sarabia, at dating kawani ng KMD na si G. Erwin M. Valiente). Sa culminating ceremony, nagbigay ng kanyang inspirational message si Dr. Caro B. Salces, deputy executive director for administration and finance ng DA-PCC sa pamamagitan ng pagbabahagi ng mga kwento ng tagumpay ng mga nakaraang FLS-DBP graduates na nakipagsapalaran sa dairy buffalo business partikular na sa pagsusupply ng gatas para sa feeding program. Ipinahayag ng mga kalahok ang kanilang pasasalamat dahil natuto sila ng wastong kaalaman sa pag-aalaga ng gatasang kalabaw, aspeto ng negosyo, at angkop na teknolohiya. Nagbigay, anila, ito ng pagkakataon para maibahagi ang kanilang kaalaman sa mga benepisyaryo ng CCDP. Inilahad din ng grupo ang kanilang re-entry plans para sa pagpapatupad ng FLSDBP sa kani-kanilang mga lokalidad.
