DA-PCC at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) conducted a training entitled "Improving Animal Nutrition through Silage Production” with the help of local government units (LGUs) in La Union, on November 26 and 28, 2022.

Said training aimed to provide sufficient knowledge and skills on the entire process of silage production that will help farmers to have an adequate supply of feed for the animals. It also promotes the nutritional benefits of silage, such as in breeding and milk production.

Aside from the said benefits, the business side of silage production was also presented for appreciation of the farmers.

The silage production training was spearheaded by Reynaldo Paneda, the training coordinator of the DA-PCC at DMMMSU, which was assisted by Jhon Jhon Resma, Science Aide.

During the event, Willy Estabillo, the municipal agriculturist of Naguilian, and Lilia Quesada, the municipal agriculturist of Agoo, showed their support by sharing the advantages of silage in animal and environmental health.
