Cecilia Irang Buong-galak na ipinagmalaki ng DAPCC ang magandang epekto ng milk feeding program sa pamayanan at sa pamumuhay ng mga magsasakangmaggagatas matapos kumita ng kabuuang PHP1.9 billion ang 45 assisted cooperatives nito sa bansa mula sa pagsisimula ng programa noong 2019 hanggang sa first quarter ng 2022, na kung saan 4,277,285 mga bata ang nabenepisyuhan. Mahigit 4.7M bata, nabenepisyuhan ng milk feeding program Sa kabuuang bilang na ito, mahigit 1,551,857 ang mga batang mag-aaral na nasuplayan ng gatas ng 24 conduit cooperatives sa ilalim ng proyektong Accelerating Livelihood and Assets Buildup o ALAB Karbawan. Maliban sa pagsugpo ng malnutrisyon, ang milk feeding program ay nagsisilbing siguradong merkado rin ng aning gatas ng mga magkakalabaw para sa tuluy-tuloy na pag-unlad ng kanilang kabuhayan. Sa katunayan, mahigit PHP758,708,538.24 ang kabuuang kinita (gross income) ng mga conduit cooperatives mula sa school-based at supplemental feeding programs na pinangungunahan ng Department of Education (DepEd) at Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at feeding programs ng lokal na pamahalaan at National Dairy Authority. Ayon ito sa ulat ni Joel Cabading, DAPCC’s milk feeding coordinator, sa ginanap na programa na “#WeFlex: Stakeholders Milk Feeding Program Achievements and Policy Consultation” noong Agosto 22- 23 sa national headquarters and gene pool ng ahensya sa Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. Nilahukan ito ng mga opisyales at empleyado ng DepEd, DSWD, DA-PCC, at ibang mga kaagapay na magkakalabaw. Pinatotohanan naman ito nina Rolly Mateo, chairperson ng Bantog Samahang Nayon Multipurpose Cooperative (BSNMPC), at Janice Domingo, general manager ng Nueva Ecija Federation of Dairy Carabao Cooperatives (NEFEDCCO), sa pamamagitan ng pagbabahagi nila ng kani-kanilang testimonya ng tagumpay sa programa. Ayon kay Mateo, mula sa kita nila sa Milk Feeding program, nakabili sila ng mga sasakyang pandeliver ng gatas, packaging machine, baking facility, at anim na ektaryang lupain. Aniya pa, 116 manggagawa ang nabigyan ng trabaho dahil sa programa. Masaya namang ibinahagi ni Domingo na tumaas ang assets ng pederasyon mula sa PHP8 milyon noong 2018 naging PHP28 milyon na ito noong 2021 dahil sa milk feeding program. Kung saan, nakapagbigay ito ng trabaho sa 200 mamamayan sa kanilang komunidad. Sa tulong din nang kanilang kita, naipaayos at naipagawa ang kanilang tatlong palapag na opisina. Inamin din niyang malaki ang naitulong ng programa para makabalikwas sila mula sa pinagdaanang problemang pinansyal noong hindi pa sila sumasali sa feeding program. Nagpahayag din ng kani-kanilang mensahe ng pagsuporta sina DepEd-Bureau of Learner Support Services Director Dr. Lope Santos III at DSWD Supplemental Feeding Program (SFP) Unit Head Ma. Elena Carreon para sa implementasyon ng 2022 School-Based Feeding Program at 12th SFP Cycle. Isang policy consultation din ang naganap noong ikalawang araw, kung saan kabilang sa mga paksang tinalakay ang Food Science of the Milk Feeding, Updates of Costing, Standardization of Milk Formulation, at Different Milk Product Terminologies. Samantala, ipinrisinta ng mga kalahok ang draft revised Milk Feeding Program Policy and Guidelines upang makongkreto at maaprubahan na ito. Ang mga kwento ng BSNMPC at NEFEDCCO ay dalawa lamang sa maraming mga kwentong tagumpay sa implementasyon ng Milk Feeding Program. Nagsisilbing matibay na patunay ang mga ito sa makabuluhang epekto ng national feeding program na karapat-dapat na ipagmalaki at ipagpatuloy sa mahabang panahon.
