VBAITs, LGU techs sumailalim sa pagsasanay sa AI at PD sa Bohol May 2023 CaraBalitaan carabalitaan By Leinefe Aton DA-PCC USF-Idinaos ng DA-Philippine Carabao Center sa Ubay Stock Farm (DA-PCC sa USF) ang buwanang pagsasanay sa basic artificial insemination (AI) at pregnancy diagnosis (PD) sa malalaking ruminant para sa villagebased at mga technician ng lokal na pamahalaan at pinaigting na pagsasanay sa reproductive management noong ika-9 ng Marso 2023. VBAITs, LGU techs sumailalim sa pagsasanay sa AI at PD sa Bohol "Ang pinag-igting na pagsasanay ay naglalayong palakasin at pagbutihin ang kahusayan ng aming mga umiiral na AI technician sa kanilang mga serbisyo, dahil napansin namin ang mababang rate ng AI," pagbabahagi ni Bonifacia Granada, training coordinator at chief ng extension services ng DA-PCC sa USF. Ang mga lugar na may pinakamaraming kalabaw ay binigyang prayoridad sa pag-iskedyul ng nasabing pagsasanay. Kabilang dito ang lugar ng Pinamungajan, Danao City, Dumanjug, San Remegio, Compostela, Alegria, Cebu, Candijay at mga munisipalidad na nasasakupan ng Bohol Dairy Cooperative (BODACO). Ang dalawang kawani ng First Consolidated Cooperative ay nakilahok din sa pagsasanay na ginanap sa Tañon Seaboard (FCCT)-Tuburan. Ito ay bahagi ng extension at advisory service ng DA-PCC ng USF para sa kooperatiba upang mas maging epektibo at mahusay ang pamamahala sa kabila ng dumaraming bilang ng mga hayop. Ang parehong pagsasanay ay binubuo ng apat at dalawang-araw na pag-aaral para sa basic at intensified reproduction management. Bahagi rin ng modyul ang isang practicum sa institutional farm at mga aktwal na demonstrasyon. Pagkatapos makumpleto ang mga pagsasanay, ang mga kalahok ay dumaan sa pagsusulit at pagtatasa ng mga kasanayan na hindi bababa sa 75% ang kanilang score.
