Radyo Eskwela sa Gatasang Kalabaw Jul 2023 CaraBalitaan Radyo Eskwela By Jeremie Marinella Ledesma DA-PCC sa UPLB —Isa na namang School-on-the-Air (SOA) ang tututukan ng mga taga-CALABARZON matapos ilunsad ng DA-Philippine Carabao Center sa University of the Philippines Los Baños (DA-PCC at UPLB) at Agricultural Training Institute CALABARZON (ATI CALABARZON) ang "CaraWOW! Radyo Eskwela sa Gatasang Kalabaw." Tutok na sa CaraWOW! Radyo Eskwela sa Gatasang Kalabaw Ang kauna-unahang livestock SOA sa rehiyon ay magsisimulang ilabas sa June 27. Ito ay naglalayong maghatid ng impormasyon sa pamamagitan ng radyo tungkol sa dairy buffalo produksyon, mga pinakabagong teknolohiya at mga enterprise opportunities mula sa gatasang kalabaw. Ilan sa mga paksang tatalakayin ay buffalo management (housing and management practices), nutrition management (forage production and establishment, feeding and feed resources), health management and breeding (estrous cycle, heat detection, common diseases), milking (milking preparations, procedures, CMT), milk handling (storage, disinfection of equipment, milk quality testing), at carabao-based business enterprise. "Ang programang ito ay magpapalaganap ng impormasyon tungkol sa mga dairy buffaloes at makatutulong upang matugunan ang mga isyu ng malnutrisyon at mapaunlad ang lokal na industriya ng pagawaan ng gatas," pagpapahiwatig ni Senator Cynthia A. Villar, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Food, and Agrarian Reform sa kanyang ipinadalang virtual greeting. Sa kabilang banda, nagpahayag ng pasasalamat at suporta ang mga provincial veterinary offices mula sa Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, at Quezon sa ATI CALABAZON at DA-PCC. Sinabi nila na ito ay magbibigay-daan sa mga lokal na magsasaka na matuto, magbahagi ng kanilang kaalaman at karanasan. "Sa wakas, nabigyan ng ganitong pagkakataon ang Rehiyon 4A. Ito ay mahalaga para sa pagpapalitan ng impormasyon at teknolohiya ng mga magsasaka. Umaasa ako na sa pamamagitan ng suporta ng ATI at LGUs, ang pagpapatupad ng programang ito ay magiging matagumpay", sabi ni Dr. Eric Palacpac, chief ng Knowledge Management Division (KMD) ng DA-PCC. Ang paglulunsad ay dinaluhan ng mga lokal na magsasaka at mga kinatawan mula sa local government sa CALABARZON.
