Ang Bolus ay isang kapsulang ibinibigay sa kalabaw upang mas mapadali at maging epektibo ang pagtukoy at pagsubaybay sa kanilang kalagayan. Isa itong uri ng RFID na inilalagay sa loob ng tiyan ng hayop na nagbibigay ng permanenteng pagkakakilanlan sa bawa’t kalabaw. May mga uri rin ng bolus na naglalaman ng bitamina o medisina. Ano ang mga benepisyo ng bolus? 1. Tiyak na pagkakakilanlan Sa pamamagitan ng e-ID bolus, natutukoy agad ang pagkakakilanlan ng bawa’t kalabaw. Hindi na kailangang maglagay ng tag sa tainga o magmarka sa katawan. Sa isang scan lang, makikita na ang impormasyon tungkol sa kalabaw: edad, lahi, timbang, estado ng kalusugan, at iba pa. 2. Mas maayos na pangangalaga Dahil mas madaling mamonitor ang kalusugan ng kalabaw, mas maaagapan din ang anumang sakit o problema. Mas natututukan ang nutrisyon, breeding, at kalagayan ng alaga. 3. Mas mataas na kita Ang malusog na kalabaw ay may mas mataas na produksyon ng gatas at mas maganda ang kalidad ng karne. Sa tulong ng bolus, napangangalagaan sila nang mas maayos—na nagreresulta sa mas malaking kita para sa magsasaka. 4. Proteksyon mula sa panlilinlang Sa merkado, may pagkakataong hindi totoo ang edad o lahi ng isang alagang hayop. Dahil sa bolus, tiyak ang impormasyon, at hindi maloloko ang mamimili—lalo na sa mga programang may premium sa gatas o lahi. 5. Kaligtasan at katatagan ng kalabaw Isang malaking takot ng ilan ay baka “masakal” o “mabigatan” ang kalabaw sa bolus. Nguni’t maraming pag-aaral na ang nagpapatunay na ligtas ito. Gawa ang Bolus sa materyal na hindi nakakasama sa tiyan, at kayang-kaya itong tanggapin ng katawan ng kalabaw. Sa katunayan, ang PCC National Gene Pool ay nagsimulang maglagay ng bolus sa lahat ng inahin dito mula pa noong 2010. 6. Kailan dapat maglagay ng bolus? Ang bolus ay dapat ilagay lamang sa mga kalabaw na anim (6) na buwan o higit pa ang edad. Bakit Hindi Dapat Katakutan ang Bolus? Natural lang ang pag-aalinlangan sa anumang bago. Nguni’t ang pagtutol sa pagbabago ay maaaring maging hadlang sa pag-unlad. Ang bolus ay produkto ng siyensya na masusing pinag-aralan. Layunin ng teknolohiyang ito na makatulong sa mga magsasaka at sa industriya ng paghahayupan. Hindi ito delikado—ito ay proteksyon. Para sa mas malusog at produktibong kalabaw at mas matagumpay na pagsasaka—huwag matakot subukan ang Bolus!
