Baybay City, Leyte—The DA-Philippine Carabao Center at Visayas State University (DA-PCC at VSU) has sent off 10 AI technicians who will effectively carry out more efficient artificial insemination services in its coverage areas.

This was following the completion of a Training on Intensified Reproduction Management and Basic Reproductive Ultrasonography held from June 23 to July 12, 2025, at DA-PCC at VSU in Baybay City, Leyte.

The training aimed to enhance the capabilities of livestock technicians in reproductive management, focusing on artificial insemination (AI) procedures and the basic application of ultrasonography in large ruminants. It combined lectures, hands-on activities, fieldwork, and immersion as learning platforms.

The training was led by a team of DA-PCC animal reproduction specialists Dr. Excel Rio S. Maylem, Dr. Carlito F. Dela Cruz, John Paul Apolinario, Joselito V. Del Rosario, and Annejelyn F. Ruiz.
